The Office of Environmental Stewardship & IESI, the City's trash and recycling contractor sponsor Recycling is Fun Day every year. The event is always held in the fall on a McKinney ISD student holiday so students can visit the Material Recovery Facility MRF during regular operating hours. While visiting the facility students and parents can visit a variety of green vendors and exhibitors in the parking lot.
