Trinity Trash Bash

McKinney is a proud member of T.R.E.E.S., the Trinity River Environmental Education Society and is committed to litter abatement as it relates to the Trinity River and it's watershed.

McKinney residents are invited to participate in the Trinity Trash Bash to be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

This regional event encourages residents and businesses join forces and clean up our roadsides, waterways, neighborhoods, and parks to protect the Trinity River watershed.  Each year during the Trinity Trash Bash, volunteers throughout the North Central Texas area help improve local water quality, restore natural beauty, and reduce potential threats to human health and wildlife.

Bring your family, friends, co-workers or organization members and join us for this fun and important event.  Teams can show their community spirt by wearing their group's shirt.  This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours.   You can choose a location to clean or let us know about a site that needs attention.  Take a look around your neighborhood, school or local park area, there are lots of places that could look better!    The goal is to keep McKinney Unique by Nature and protect the Trinity River!
